Collection: Monarch
The Monarch Collection is a unique, limited-edition capsule of wearable pieces created by Lisa Jaffe of Guillotine and Gina Waldman of Waldman Studios.
Limited quantities of vibrant Nigerian batik were the collection’s original source of inspiration. Traditionally hand-dyed by artisans, each printed panel has its own subtle variations, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
Contrasting prints are carefully selected and combined in limited-edition compositions, with individual print variations giving each garment its own unique character.
The collection embodies the principles of slow fashion. Every textile print is carefully considered, placed and cut individually by hand to enhance the garment’s form and overall aesthetic. Each piece is then constructed by a single master machinist.
