Introducing this seasons playful print pop of colour into your wardrobe - the Monarch Andikra Reversible Belt.  It’s fully reversible, has styling versatility and made in a beautiful batik woven damask cotton. The Adinkra embroidered symbols that adorn the belts are deeply rooted in Ghanian traditional symbology and resonate individually with the wearer. The belt can be styled with our Monarch Shirt and our stand out Matching Set.  

The collection is constructed by one master machinist and then embellished by a Ghanian tailor. Each belt will differ slightly and variants and are always in limited edition. One side is embroidered and holds 2 unique symbols per belt. Symbol placements may differ.

 

The Monarch Collection is a unique limited edition capsule collection of wearable pieces that is the brainchild of Lisa Jaffe- Guillotine and Gina Waldman- Waldman Studios.
 
Limited quantities of vibrant printed batik from Nigeria were the initial source of inspiration. No two printed panels in this soft damask weave are ever the same and they are imperfectly perfect because of the hand dyed quality of traditional artisans. 
This collection is the epitome of slow fashion- where each piece of printed fabric is considered and then designed to enhance the garment’s form and aesthetic.

Too Note: Often, combinations are different and variants cannot be repeated. One side is embroidered and holds 2 unique symbols per scarf. 

All BATIK fabrics used are unique, handmade, handprinted, 100% cotton, with a fine weave which makes them all very beautiful. Any imperfections are intentional due to the hand-printing of this fabric.
